Rest Areas
Below is a list of rest areas along Interstate 55 in Missouri. Rest areas are listed from north to south. Northbound travelers read up the page; southbound travelers read down the page.

Mile Marker 21 – Hayti
- Welcome Center (northbound)
Welcome Center mile marker 21 Hayti. On 5/8/23 we were traveling home from New Orleans and stopped at the Welcome Center to use the restroom. I am disabled in a wheelchair and my husband pushed me to the door of the restroom. The younger lady that was working there saw me and she came over and gave me her arm to hold onto and walked me to the handicap stall then went about her cleaning. When I opened the door she was waiting there and helped me to the sink and then back to the door where my husband was waiting. I just wanted to give this lady a shout out for being so kind to me. If everyone could show just a small jester of kindness like this, the world would be such a better place.
110 is truck parking only. No restrooms.
According to Missouri’s DOT office, it appears only the northbound rest area building has been removed and the rest area turned into a truck parking area.
Rest area 29 very clean – Mile marker 21 northbound – A++ !!!!
