Rest Areas
Below is a list of rest areas along Interstate 85 in Georgia. Rest areas are listed from north to south. Northbound travelers read up the page; southbound travelers read down the page.
Mile Marker 176 – Lavonia
- Welcome Center (southbound)
Mile Marker 0.5 – West Point
- Welcome Center (northbound)
yeah, the cities are nice in GA, but getting there is HORRIBLE. Avoid if you can. So many better states with better food/gas plazas along their Interstates! Jeez.
GA is horrible to rest areas places!!! So unwelcome!!!!!
I too am amazed at the lack of hospitality by Georgia in consideration of traverlers by having no more than 2 rest areas. We have a dog and would like to be able to walk her and stretch our legs in an area we know is safe and designated for that purpose.
Ga sucks when it comes to rest areas. I guess they don’t think travelers need a rest or bathroom breaks.
Get with the program Georgia and build more rest areas along your major highways
Not very accommodating for travelers if there are seriously only two on Instate 85 in Georgia. Thanks much.
