  1. My wife just called me crying and irratic from a rest stop near lake city saying she was in fear of her life bc a male staff person unlocked the bathroom and let himself in, she started screaming and he fled. Now she is locked in and will not come out. She is a rape survivor on serious psych medications and I am scared she may do something to harm herself as she thinks it is her fault. I am in Tallahassee and have look for her brothers to assist bc I have no DL. Can anyone get there quicker bc it will take me a while to get there. This is totally unacceptable and may trigger her past experiences which make her do things out of her character. Is there anyone that can get there faster to assist bc it is going to take me a while to get there. Who Do I CONTACT

    • I’m sorry to read about this but this website cannot do anything to assist. I would hope you contacted the police or highway patrol for assistance.

  2. The security person at the Ponce Dr Leon rest area was a welcome and comforting encounter on Saturday August 14th st 5:30 p.m.
We had just been through a nasty storm with rains so hard we were driving 35 mph on I-10.
She quickly greeted us and directed us to a family style restroom. (My daughter is in a motorized wheelchair). Upon walking back to our vehicle we saw and heard her interacting with other travelers. It was great to know such a caring person was watching out for everyone. She deserves an “atta boy”, although I did not get her name.

  3. The 162 rest stop is almost a mile off the highway. Twisty and reminds me of my motorcycle roadracing days.
Just hope you can “hold it” till you reach the top !!!
