8/14/23 – Rest Area Was Closed. Chain Link fence at the entrance. The sign on I-40 says it is closed.
I’m unable to determine if this closure is permanent or temporary. According the New Mexico’s DOT website, this rest area is open but closes daily from either 2:30pm to 8am or 5pm to 7am (unable to confirm time).
