  1. Exit 174 in Cottage Grove has an enormous parking lot adjacent to the McDonalds just off of the I-5 Freeway, both NB & SB. There is a store with a bathroom and showers for a fee. In addition there are numerous restaurant options all within walking distance of the enormous parking lot. Extended stays are completely acceptable and at no charge. This option offers far more accommodations and is cleaner and safer than most if not all rest areas along the
I-5 corridor. It’s been my go to for nearly 40 years.

  2. Why has mile marker 22 southbound Talent rest stop been closed for the last two days? I always eat my lunch there. Instead of sitting at work. It’s so much nicer for me.

    • Hey thank you Omar V. My name is Tony and I am one of several employees that work here. We all appreciate the kind words. We’re doing our best to maintain this rest stop. Come back again.

  4. I heard a Rumor that I5 rest stops were closed! All of them? or just Some of them? I am traveling from Sacramento to Bellingham, Wa. in another few weeks, where would I look to check on this?

  5. The northbound only WELCOME to OREGON rest stop / visitors center south of Ashland on I-5 needs to be added to the list, regardless of which agency owns it.

    • Thanks for bringing this to my attention. This location was still under construction the last time I looked at this record in my database.
