Donner Summit Rest Area, located on I-80 at mile marker 177 eastbound, near Truckee, California. Why is this whole area fenced off to the pacific Trail head? We use to be able to park and walk the trailhead. The fence is tall and looks permanent.
The trail head goes all the way to Donner Lake.
