  1. My wife and I stopped at the west bound rest area at mile marker 160 in Jasper yesterday. We had driven from the near Daytona, and had stopped in both Florida and Georgia rest areas during our 11 hour drive.
The Tennessee rest stops were by far the worst we had seen. Filthy, foul and poorly maintained. As my wife walked out, I told her that “After seeing the Florida and Georgia rest stops, I was ashamed to be a Tennessean.” She said “I was just getting ready to say the same thing.” Another traveler also echoed our thoughts as we walked back to the car.
We have some pretty fucked up legislation going on in this state, and Bill Lee has no idea what he is doing, but you would think that the state could at least get the toilets clean and working.
