Below is a list of rest areas along Interstate 40 in Oklahoma. Rest areas are listed from east to west. Eastbound travelers read up the page; westbound travelers read down the page.

  1. It seems like Oklahoma had more actual rest areas a few years ago. Today there’s almost nothing. They could do a much better job. Clearly the state must want you to go to businesses to take care of needs and spend money which generates tax revenue. My problem is that I can’t pick up brochures about things to do along the interstate. That actually cuts into what I might spend.

  2. I think Oklahoma wants travelers to leave ASAP with no rest stops! Are we supposed to stop on the side of true road to pee or poop? Good grief OK!

  3. Someone posted a list of a bunch of rest areas on I40….I don’t consider a picnic area with no facilities a rest area… Oklahoma sucks for tourist convience

  4. this 2600 mile drive im getting ready to take is looking like a bunch of roadside bush visits, whats happened to our infrastructure?…nevermind I already know…. safe travels everyone!!!

  5. Just came through Arkansas, live in Oklahoma, why do we not have nice rest areas along I40? They even had wifi. We need to do better
