  1. I love the rest stops in Mississippi and Alabama. They are so welcoming with the picnic areas, tucked away in the forest, a little distance from the highway.

  2. Got yelled at for walking my small dog by a guard. At first I didn’t recognize him as a guard, the shirt was untucked and half unbuttoned, boots unlaced. He must have woken up when I arrived, and jumped at me yelling. He said i needed to go across the street where the truckers are with my dog. I was also with my kids and the trucker place had no benches we could sit down and eat lunch together. This needs a major improvement or a lesson from Louisiana stop with a great dog area and benches for families to sit together.

  3. We just left the west bound rest stop at Mike marker 75. They were VERY pet UN-friendly. The guard yelled at me when he saw my dog. I asked “where is the pet area?” And he pointed across the street where the truckers park. Wow. Mississippi needs a Buc-ee’s to teach them how to set up a nice friendly pet area. People travel with their pets and you can bet we will not be stopping at that rest stop again.

  4. We travel across the country at least 2 times a year and we greatly appreciate the rest areas along the way. Some are better than others, Mississippi’s are well groom and beautiful, the buildings are well maintained and exceptionally clean. But you need to do something different about your toilet seats, I understand wear and tear but estheticically speaking it may be clean but in appearance that is not transmitted to the user.
