  1. Wolcott rest areas both North and South bound are permanently closed as of November 2023

Lebanon rest areas both North and South bound are closed as of June 2023 for conversion to truck parking facilities. Unsure if this will wipe out the rest area as well or if it’s an addition to the site itself. Any new information from travelers is appreciated!

  2. My husband and I were traveling to the Corydon area Monday the 25th. We stopped in to use the restroom at the rest area #030401 just south of Edinburgh, In. When we arrived he went directly in the mens room and the Womens was temporarily closed for cleaning. Just because I really had to go, and I was “surprised” to find the bathroom closed, I said out loud, “closed?” The man soon came out and clearly heard my comment and said to me (and another woman who arrived after me and said the same), “are you going to beat me up?!” I kinda chuckled cuz I thought he was joking and went in to go. After coming out the man kept taunting me in the lobby saying, “oh, the entitled…..oh, the privileged….” My husband was even standing there! I read an earlier comment someone wrote about a rude employee. I’m wondering if it was the same guy. Honestly, it was borderline scary, and if my husband wasn’t with me I would have been really concerned. Thought you’d like to know how these people are representing our state to travelers. PS- I’m about as far from someone who is privileged or elite as one can get!

  3. Lost stuffed hedgehog, somewhere heading northbound, between Montgomery AL and Nashville TN on April 2nd 2021. Gonna be rough at bedtime for the next couple of weeks unless a miracle.

  5. Heading home after burying my father, I stopped at the rest area on 65 S. mile marker 73. I walked in across the carpet into the restroom, as I was coming out the attendant made a rude comment about mud on my shoes. I felt like that comment was uncalled for, as he did not know why I had mud on my shoes. And I certainly did not attend to create more work for him.

  6. Mile marker 150 is in dire need of cleaning. The urine odor is present in the lobby. Mold & disgusting stalls are evident that this location is not kept up. Not a good impression as out of state visitors routinely pass through these stops. I made note never to stop at that location again.
