  1. No info or updates stated for VERY IMPORTANT time location .April 8, 2024 Total eclipse passes nearest the Rend Lake I-57 rest areas, 5 miles apart. But another map/state source online says BOTH buildings are closed (and one is a Welcome Center!) but parking lots are open. Be prepared with your own porta potty bucket if you are planning to be there early and stay for 5 hours or more to watch event.

  2. 332 is closed but It doesn’t tell you ahead of time. Have to go to the bathroom outside. There are gas stations and restaurants just a couple of miles ahead but unfortunately some people don’t know that. Please put a sign up on the highway to indicate that the restrooms are closed.
