I don’t like the idea of being forced to go into a town to take a rest break. This is totally commerce driven. Not for the comfort of a traveler. We drive over 100 miles on 24 W and only one rest stop? Illinois i am ashamed!!!
Interstate 24 in Illinois is only 39 miles long. Interstate 24 in Kentucky is about 93 miles long and has just two rest areas/welcome centers; one near the Tennessee state line and the other in Paducah, Kentucky.
Got hassled here by rest area staff too. In particular a talk younger man. Not a good experience
Rest stop right off i24 interstate Nothing spectacular. Get nicer helpful employees not skateboarding immature guy who thinks he can get away with mean behavior. He was seen talking down to an older handicapped lady in white car who obviously found trouble walking- talked down to her -and some dog owners. Needs a reality check –
Lovely park-like setting! A welcomed respite from the nearby construction backup on I-24!!
I passed through there Thursday the 11th and my cat escaped. Any chance anyone has seen a white with black spots long hair cat?
